Code Magazine launches a contest for the graphic design of the cover for its Autumn issue, to be published in September 2008. The contest is opened to young graphic designers. The participants shall submit a proposal corresponding to the theme explored by the forthcoming issue of the magazine, ie ” futurology”: How do we see the future a century after the Futurist Manifesto, fifty years after the construction of the Atomium and nearly ten years after the year 2000? Can we still use the word “avant-garde”? Do emerging artists challenge the future? Can we still believe in revolution?
The winning proposal will be printed on the cover of the 5000 copies of Code, which are distributed in Belgium, France, Switzerland and downloadable online.
Deadline for the proposals: July 15, 2008
Format: H250mm x W170mm (+5mm bleed)/CMYK ou BW
The Code team reserves the right to insert the logo (http://www.codefrisko.be/codemagazine/code_cartouche7.eps) on the cover in collaboration with the winner, if it considers this addition necessary.
The Code team also reserves the right not to elect a winner if none of the received proposals satisfy the team of the magazine.
Please submit your proposal in PDF or JPEG at: backstage@codemagazine.be
The Spring edition of CODE is out!
In this new issue, the Code team and its international contributors have decided to blow our ears by exploring the notion of “noise” through a selection of emerging artists. Code invites you to discover this new edition, to meet the contributors and enjoy the musical universe of Sun OK Papi KO on Wednesday April 2nd from 6pm on at the Delecta Café (Rue Lannoy 2 / Chaussée de Vleurgat / 1050 Brussels).
