The wealth and diversity of Indonesian sculpture heritage is one of the points of interest that have drawn cultural researchers from Indonesia and abroad. Indonesian cultural heritage has, for a long time, served as a source of inspiration for creative actors from various disciplines including visual artists and sculptors.

The desire to spark a creative discussion between sculptors and the objects will be interesting to note in the way they have observed or chosen the  heritage sculptures as the inspiration for their works. This discussion will certainly produce a new experience, either from an aesthetic point of view or from the transformation of meaning in terms of forms and expressive contents, which can be read as part of a structure that represents the contemporaneous experience of the creator.
